It is clear throughout the chapters that the adults are trying to manipulate the soldiers, especially Ender, for their benefit. They are willing to push Ender until he cracks so that they find a solution to the buggers. The adults are putting the fate of humanity in Ender's hands. If they keep driving him then they will not end up with answers but an overworked child. The time constraint stresses them out which in terms stresses Ender. The adults view the children as objects that are smaller, so they feel that because they are bigger that they can control them. They don't realize that kids are just as capable as them. Their capability is colossal. Kids can also manipulate yet they also can create and help. In Ender's case he as a child can save. I think the adults will cross the line by far. They are concerned for humanity yet not taking Ender's emotions into account. By messing with his mind it may help them solve their problems but it doesn't help Ender grow as a child developmentally. Some examples from the book are when they pile on battles on his army. This is tiring him and his soldiers out. They set unfair rules like not letting him trade soldiers, giving him high positions at a young age, and overall pressuring him to his limits. By putting him in isolation they think it will solve a solution to a problem that affects many, but how much will it affect Ender?
