"Why not? I have spent my entire life as someone's pawn"
-Ender Wiggin
This quote clearly supports the claim that Graff has abused Ender through manipulation so much that is hurts him mentally. Ender feels that people have used and abused him because of his talents his entire life. He says this when Valentine mentions that if he goes back to Earth, Peter will use him like he did when they were young and how Graff used Ender in space. This shows that Ender is at the point where he doesn't care anymore. Overall, Ender feels that he is never in control of his own life. Yet, without the control in battle school and command school, Ender never would have won the bugger war. In the end, Ender chooses to go with Valentine where he in now truly happy and not living like a pawn.
