In Chapter 18 of Red Kayak by Priscilla Cummings Brady has to make important decisions about what he wants to do with the drill. He could destroy the evidence to protect him and his friends or he could do the right thing and turn it in to the police. If I was Brady I would do what was right and turn the drill in. I would be aware of the consequences and the fact that we all might get in trouble, but I would rather go through that than live with the feeling that I helped with murder. If he told this would damage JT and Digger's friendship, but was Brady that close with them anyway? He did grow up with them. I would try my best to try becoming friends again but if that didn't happen I would just find new friends. It would be extremely hard to live with the guilt and pain of knowing I killed Ben even though I physically didn't hurt him. Guilt would sit in my stomach, the sadness will never go away because I knew Ben personally. All of these problems could be resolved by saying something.
